PRISM’s August 2023 Learning Circle is a comprehensive discussion about the intersection of substance use, mental health, recovery, and being a BIPOC father in the modern world.

Participants will learn about adapting and supporting racial equity and underserved communities through community programming and other initiatives focused on empowering families, parents, and fathers. Presenters Michael Hall, Minister, Change Agent, and Fatherhood Advocate with the Community Fatherhood Initiative, and Lexie B. Wilkins, BA, QMHP, NCCPSS, CADC, CRC, CHW, WRAP Facilitator, Founder/Executive Director of Love and Respect Community for Recovery and Wellness, Inc., bring decades of personal and professional experience combined with a unique perspective on the challenges BIPOC men and fathers endure when navigating mental health, recovery, systems of care, peer-based and clinical practices.
